Lost the C: drive on my desktop a few weeks ago. Second time on this one. Thought about getting a new computer but this guy still runs good(4 or 5 years old). Loading windows xp and setting everything up took an entire weekend and sucked. Bought a laser print and 2G memory today. Hope no more problems on the horizon.

Makes me wonder. I have a back-up drive, but if the C drive goes out then there's no windows or anything. What good is the back-up (other than having a copy of all your files). Maybe this is where that infamous start disc comes in that I've never had much luck with.

There's software that can make an installable backup(like ghost). I should look into it.
