Last Friday/Saturday was not one of my best days. That night Sherman, who could honestly be best described as my cat, died. Yes, he was old, yes he was sick, but it hurt. He'd lost a lot of weight and wouldn't eat or drink really. I'd been trying to force him to take fluids and I'd asked someone in the house who isn't working to take him to the ( Read more... )

I'm really sorry to hear about all that man. I've only been around a dying cat once, and I reacted more of shock or disbelief (carrying a dead young cat to my next door neighbor's to ask if he knew the vet's number--they weren't home though). Eventually my dad just put him in a trashbag after the rigor mortis had set in (he didn't come home from work for several hours).

Yeah it's a weird thing when a pet dies. I mean either it's really grief filled or you just don't know what to do. Sadly I've been on both sides of that.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. :( *hugs* It's even more enraging that no one else could be bothered to do the responsible thing and take him in to the vet. I would've had words. >:(

Hope Walter is going to be okay.....

*hugs tight* I'm so sorry sweetie. . . I am. I had to be the one to call for a back hoe when my mom's horse died recently. . . like last month. He died at 6am, I had him buried in the back by 11. But god, what it took to get him there. The back hoe was too big to fit through the opening of the horse pen, so he had to be dragged by his hind legs with a chain and it was horrible. . . I could hear the rigamortis not letting there be much in the way of bending. . . so yeah. Horrible. I cried for hours, during and after. I didn't stop crying til about 5pm. .. Hang in t here sweetie. *licks*
