I would be EXTREMELY pissed off if I were in your situation. To a huge degree. It would result in a stern talking to of said Grandmother, about how she has disrespected me by doing that and how it isn't her place.

After all that went down, it got a little more complicated and turned out Beth had been there and known about it, but things are finally calmed down now, and she's promised to talk to her grandmother about it and make it clear where we both stand.

Even if I didn't have the position I do, Sarah in particular just cannot handle this kind of stuff because she takes everything very seriously and gets way too emotionally invested at this point in her life.
