[Locals] Beer Tasting!
This Friday we're gonna hit up the beers of Russia... or what we have from Russia at the local Liquor Barn anyway. That would be Baltika #9 and Baltika #3. It's a pity that Baltika is the only brewery from Russia represented at the local Liquor Barn

#3 - A very decent, if fairly "light" beer. It tastes like a somewhat more malty and flavorful version of a standard American Macrobrew. I thought it was genuinely pretty good. I'd give it a B- as a result.
#9 - This beer is trash. It has 8% ABV and, to compensate, they add this horrible (syrupy) flavor of apricot and skunk-beer. It doesn't hide the alcohol at all, but does make it taste like you took a cheap beer and added peach schnapps and vodka. It's really one of the worst beers ever, in my mind. I'd give it a D-... even if the bottle is drunk friendly (a big plus) and it's, like, perfectly sized for a small party.
