help! i need to save my files¬¬

my laptop is screwed. im getting a message at boot that says "\system32\ntoskrnl.exe is either corrupt or missing "

any one got any bright ideas? running a windows xp cd to cure the problem isnt workin either.

ok, I won't say it anymore... but I had the same problem. or better afterwards I checked for viruses (and there were alot) I had the same message when I started the shit pc. but still, I can work 'n stuff...
