Yay cooking!! I don't really recommend fish in a broiler--I think it works well pan fried. Salmon I like fairly rare, and I put a .75-1 lb piece in the pan for about 5-8 minutes. But, if you like yours cooked more thoroughly, keep flipping it and it won't get over done. Yay cooking (again)!!

I do enjoy salmon, greatly in fact. I had no idea it could be prepared so simply. (I suppose you can pan fry just about anything, but in my head cooking usually means crazy complicated process. But I'm getting better and more informed by the day.) I will try it.
Do you recommend using a broiler for anything, or is it just a facet of the oven best left alone? I dunno, the first time I opened it I fully expected mice or raccoons to be nesting in there or something. A place for cooking should not be so close to the floor. Or maybe I'm just insane. That's entirely possible.
