So I finally did a poetry reading tonight and it was surprisingly fun. In fact, I had a great time. And, slightly less importantly, the audience seemed to have a great time too. It went so well. I can't wait to read again ( Read more... ) -

With October comes confusion
Man, ever since October started I can't keep my days straight to save my life. I'm very concerned I'm going to start missing appointments and whatnot. Time to start using a dayplanner I guess. Blast...my favorite month is not off to a good start, but I'm confident that pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING can keep my spirits high. Vive Autumn!! -
So this is what thesis semester is like...
So I had my first thesis meeting with Jonathan on Wednesday. It was actually more productive than I was expecting, and I'm feeling pretty good about this whole thing. I was putting off actually quantifying and qualifying my poems all summer because I thought there simply wouldn't be enough and I'd be, well, screwed. Like Jesus walking on water level of miracle
Hydrogen peroxide mixed with water has given me gums of steel. How is it I managed to live 25 years without ever experiencing this amazing healing concoction? It's like for real amazing. I'm no longer a slave to the all too stingy Listerine and its heinous "flavor" choices. It even makes my teeth shinier. Color my impressed. Color me impressed -
FINALLY!!!
I just this very second figured out how to belch on cue. I'm so pleased with myself. All I need to figure out now is how to whistle and I'll have the standard cache of ordinary useless skills that people tend to have. -

I hate waiting to hear from other people. And my narcolepsy seems to be back. And my roommate is starting to annoy me. And I've walked across JP every night this week. It's a pleasant late-night stroll like the old days. I wish I was eating a custard donut right now.
