While I don't exactly agree with your economics, the view of the "Ivory tower revolutionaries" is spot on. Over-privileged children of the suburbs get isolated at college with others like themselves, have the idiotic ramblings of tenured professors crammed down their throats, and suddenly scream for blood. Without actually understanding the system- they just want something to rebel against.

Of course, once they realize that, hey, going to jail sucks, and that the worker's paradise they aim for doesn't include their trust fund, they go home.

What's just as annoying are all the "Young Republican" types who always want our military to go kick people's asses, but won't be a part of it- that would mess up their plans for business school, I guess. I personally believe that everyone should be involved in some form of service, be it military, teaching, nursing, or otherwise.
