i was poking around applytograd's community archives and found some stuff you wrote last year regarding upenn. turns out i'm applying to their english program, with a concentration in women's studies.
i went to undergrad at rowan (and got an MA at villanova in pa) - and i think i know people who know you - so i thought i'd write you a hello and ask you how the whole application process went now that you're a year out of the gate and can potentially breathe again.

Hey, I did get this last week and I didn't intend to blow it off--I've just been really busy.
I actually ended up going to law school instead of grad school, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but one thing I can tell you about the applications process at Penn was that I heard NOTHING until April. By the time I got their rejection, I was already in the MA program at Rutgers-Camden...and then the law school here spirited me off to the land of milk and honey, and here I am. I think I made the right decision--I had identified so hard with being a teacher that it never occurred to me to look outside that profession until I was invited to apply to the law school, and it's kind of scary how well I've been doing with it considering I decided to come here in July.
Good luck with your applications process! Who do you know at Rowan? I graduated in May and unfortunately haven't kept in touch with anyone. Chrissey
hi there I came across you in a 1L community and reading your profile I saw you were a Jersey girl who listed Save Ferris and Monique Powell among others, so I had to say hi. mind if i add you?
