Firo’s been around for about as long as I can remember, so it’s hard to pin everythin’ down in a few words! I could make a sweepin’ assertion that he’s a great guy. Maybe I’d better just say he’s like a brother to me and leave it at that. Oh, and that fella has a patience that’s borderline insane when it comes to skirt. Sometimes I wonder if he’s even human in that respect!

So I maybe spent a little more time and energy tryin’ to find the right girl than most fellas. It completely paid off! It feels - even better than I coulda imagined! I guess because I couldn’t have imagined someone as wonderful as Chane before I met her. I guess I'da probably gone stir-crazy in this place without her. As it is I'm kinda glad I've got a reason to stay in one place, for now; love does strange things to you like that!

What a difficult guy to pin down. Ah, maybe not even difficult, exactly, but more - I'd rather not think too hard about him. I've got to give my all to protecting him no matter what he's like, so finding out how great a guy he is wouldn't change anythin', and the alternative ain't worth thinkin' about. Makes things simple, really.

That kid - hah, I shouldn’t really be callin’ him that, huh. That guy needs to be watched. He’ll do anythin’ to survive. Maybe that’s not an issue so much here, where folks don’t know about him; maybe that’s why I brought him here - some kinda redemption story? Hard to believe when I’m pretty sure he’d kill half the people in this town if it meant savin’ his own skin. We’ll see.

Kinda funny that a kid goes around in a get-up like that callin’ herself an investigator. Eccentricities aside I’ve gotta admire her energy. The world could do with more people who throw themselves into it the way she does! But damn, I'm still kicking myself for not coming up with that sign language bit before she did.

A “protector of justice”, huh. I guess I feel something in common with him, even though I’m not about to tell him that. For one, I figure he wouldn't see eye-to-eye with the kinda justice I'm talking about. Well, his heart's definitely in the right place; the guy deserves more respect for that than I think he gets.
