Vintage
"Vintage" is a vague and general term used to describe a stylistic trend originating from the past. The idea of this challenge is to make icons about a very large range of wonderful subjects, like for example, the fantastic 20's, classic hollywood, the fashion from the 60's, the hippie movement or the more modern retinterpretations of these life styles. However to make things clear and easy, claims should nevertheless conform with a few general requirments.

The claims

Chronologically, the claim should roughly be dated between 1900-1989. This can be discussed but the point is to focus on the 20th century, in general the time when the subject of your claim is produced/exists is less important than the time it refers to.

Any subject is welcome:

- movies/musicals (ex. Grease)

- characters (ex. Joan Holloway)

- actors/ actresses (ex. Marilyn Monroe)

- shows (ex. Mad Men)

- art (ex. Andy Wahrol)

- music (ex. The Beatles)

- animation (ex. Betty Boop)

- fashion (ex. Twiggy)

- modern interpretations (ex. Dita von Teese)

- etc.

To take Audrey Hepburn as an example, here are the claims you could choose

- Audrey Hepburn as herself (photoshoots, public appearances)

- Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly

- Leighton Meester's interpretation of Holly in Gossip Girl

But you could not choose:

- Audrey Hepburn as Natacha Rostova in War and Peace , which is stylistically a 19th century movie

If you have any question concerning the validity of your claim, please ask.
