Opinions, and give details/explanations
o1. Self Mutilation ;; It's a horrible thing to witness; let alone go through. It's extremely unfortunate in my opinion that kids at such a young age will resort to such a horrible thing. I think it's an increasing problem throughout the world. Parents should pay closer attention to it, and not consider it "just a phase."
o2. Abortion ;; Also, another unfortunate thing that happens. I don't like to see mothers take away a soon-to-be life, but the government should not be able to control women's bodys. I think in extremly special cases, such as rape, it is understandable, but I think it's becoming a far too popular thing.
o3. George W. Bush ;; He's not my favorite guy, but if we didn't hate him, we would hate someone else. I don't favor the war, but complaing about it, and blaming it all on one person isn't going to help the troops. I think we should spend more time worrying about the health of soldiers, than how dumb our president is.
o4. Gay Marriage ;; I honestly don't understand why this is such a problem in the U.S. This is where I draw the line with religion. A lot of hate comes from organized religions. I'm not saying all of it, but the Catholic church lately has been teaching a lot of hate, and not focusing on their purpose. I have a gay relative, and I totally support it. It's love. Nothing should stand between that.
o5. Eating disorders ;; Such a horrible thing some people have to go through. People's self image is becoming so important that they will risk their life to be "perfect." The media is becoming such an influence on little girls.
o6. Suicide ;; I beleive suicide not just effects that person, but their family and friends too. Parents should really look for warning signs before it gets to out of hand. Many parents beleive it's a phase, and that can lead to their child's death.
o7. Vintage ;; Well, i've always been around vintage and antique things. My mom owned an antique shop, so I was always fascinated by what we had around the house, and in her shop. It's just become a part of my life now.
