Beautiful! I love how Poirot tries very hard *not* to look at his rug, it's just a very sort of Poirot thing to do, trying to ignore something for Hastings. *sillygrin* Very sweet. Your Poirot is quite IC.

And I have to say, I'm a recent convert to the whole Poirot/Hastings relationship, having stolidly resisted when I first read the books when I was very young...but then I read (what is apparently the fandom-famous) The Real Captain Hastings and have been shamelessly converted. But this is the only other Poirot/Hastings fic I've found! *eep!*...I had thought there was a rather large following...maybe I'm just not looking in the right places?

I absolutely adore Poirot/Hastings, even more so than Holmes/Watson. Thank you so much! Both Hastings and Poirot are incredibly in-character, and I love the domestic bliss depicted here. Natural and beautiful.
