Hey everybody! Just a quick question I'd like to run by you all.

It seems animation writing styles can be broken down into two main categories:

CONTINUITY
(Where each episode picks up where the last one left off to build upon a large-scale storyline)

VS.
RANDOM ADVENTURES
(Where each episode is completely different, though they use the same

I would say that continuous storylines are better--they are easier to understand and a lot more fun in the long run. :D

Flash cartoons are hard to gauge though, I certainly like both. ^_^

Well, I guess if it was in a flash cartoon series thennnn Random Adventures. I guess it really depends on the characters themselves and what they're trying to acheive or whatever.

hmmmm.. in a flash cartoon? probably continuity. See when things are on the internet.. you usually need more persuasion to go back and find a cartoon again.. and you'll want to do that more if there's more story to be heard, as opposed to random adventures. The best thing about having a cartoon on the internet is it's really easy for people to go back and watch previous episodes and get up to date on a story. I tend to like random adventures more for TV, like Spongebob and Billy and Mandy etc., because you don't have to remember to watch a show at a certain time, and if you do turn on the tv and it happends to be on? You can just watch it without wondering if you've seen the episode before it. does that make sense? xD

Well, I love both techniques for different reasons. Most Flash toons are random adventures, though. It'd be easier for newcomers to get into it rather than coming in the middle of a big storyline, just as an observation.

I can appreciate episodic shows, but I've never met anyone who takes them seriously. Serial shows are easier to get into, but unless you start from the beginning, you have no idea.

There are a hundred episodic flash shows, I wanna see a serial one :D
