Go Speed Racer Go!

So tonight I went with the bruddas to see Speed Racer...the theater was empty (it did fill up with about 10 more people after our arrival) and wasn't sure what to expect...but...here goes. (In case anyone is wondering, I copied it from my myspace blog. D:)

Tonight I'm going to review the movie Speed Racer...and I'm going to cut to the chase, okay?

I agree so much :D I was lucky enough to see Speed Racer the day it came out, and there were about five other people not including me, my brother, and my dad.

The only time the movie got a LITTLE drama-y was when Speed and Pops were talking because Speed was going to leave, but it actually moved the story along!

I consider Speed Racer to be one of my favorites as well :D

yeah thats true about the Speed and Pops part...but...yeah, it was pretty essential. What I was most surprised at was the subtle (and not so subtle) humor in the movie...Spritle epsecially (I was rolling at the scene with him and Chim Chim driving through the Restricted area)

What I thought to be a plot hole, because they didn't expand on it very much, was why he couldn't use the Mach 5 in the Grand Prix. Well after I left the theater it dawned on me...duh..the Mach 5 was modified and is no longer street legal xD at least thats how I interpreted it

That part was hilarious, and also when Spritle flipped off whatshisface xDDD Oh! And Speed did do a "ah!" with a semi-close up. When he's in the race with Racer X and the famous Korean actor there is this really short shot of something flying at him (I think?) and he does the trademark thing. I was totally watching for it >D

Yeah I couldn't figure it out either D: Your explanation makes total sense.

I TOTALLY CRIED DURING THE MOVIE LOL.
When Rex "died" and Speed was crying. DDDD: A cute little kid crying will make me cry too. ;____;

You totally don't know me, but I stalked followed you over from dear_stupid. Name's Kates!

And I must say I whole-heartedly agree. I loved that movie. The pretty colors kept me GREATLY entertained/interested. News flash to the critics? This isn't a movie that you can take too seriously. It's a movie about flipping car racing based off of a totally awesome cartoon.

On something completely different, I want my own Trixie-copter now. That thing was hilariously pink. >w

buwhahaha nice to meet you Kate :D hooray for stalking \o/ (I do it all the time ;_;)

oh man...the pink helicoptor...I saw that and was like "I WANT THAT" Apparently though, in true Speed Racer fashion, one must dress in hoochie mama attire to pilot a helicoptor.

Is it okay if I friend you too?
