It's that time of year! My obsessions list! It's not super fancy or anything, but these were my main obsessions of 2009:
Lost Season 5
I'd say it's rather consistent with every other year that Lost tops the list of my obsessions. For the few months that it is on it dominates my life - this year I actually had trouble sleeping and eating because I was so worried that Ben was going to die, LOL.
Now there's just one season left. It's terribly upsetting. I started watching Lost when the pilot first aired (followed my bb Dom from LOTR to Lost) and have been obsessed ever since. I've only missed watching 4 episodes live - 2 from concerts, and 2 from being in New Zealand. On Lost nights - you don't bother me. I'm not going to talk to you, or listen to you.
I love everything about this fandom: the people, the show, the cast, the crazy, the lulz. I WILL NEVER NOT LOVE THIS SHOW - EVEN WHEN IT'S GONE~
Michael Emerson
Big surprise here eh? IDK what it is about him, but I love him like no other. He's so nice to look at, he's so amazing to watch, he's so hot to listen to, and playing Ben definitely adds to his allure~.
He's so damn humble, and loves his wife, and IDK he's just perfect IMO. LOL. My friends all think I'm crazy~ and sick for liking him, but they can go diaf. UNF LOOK AT THIS BADASS MOFO.
nnnnngggghhhhhhhh. Oh - and that BAMF up there WON AN EMMY FOR LOST. So yeah.
Flight of the Conchords/Jemaine Clement
Unfortunately I got into this fandom too late - I started watching around the beginning of September. It sucks because I LOVE IT AND I MISSED THE HYPE. I imagine I must feel the same way as people who are only discovering LOTR now and missed all the excitement and hype when it came out.
FOTC basically took over my first semester at school - it's all I listened to and all I talked about for about 3 months. I'm sure people got extremely annoyed at me because of this, but whatever.
Newest addition to my celebrity obsessions list? Jemaine, which makes me laugh because I thought he was so disgusting at first but now I see him and just go UNF UNF UNFFFFFFF
The show itself may be over~ but they still exist! It's my goal to see them in concert at some point
The Big Bang Theory/Sheldon and Penny
Yeah ... how glad I am that I started watching this show. Interestingly enough, from the promos that were attached to the HIMYM promos, I thought it would be really, really stupid and unfunny. HOW WRONG I WAS~ I love everything about this show (except, maybe perhaps the L/P). EVERYBODY SHOULD WATCH IT, IF YOU AREN'T ALREADY. I don't normally push shows, but I will push TBBT.
And it doesn't help that Jim Parsons/Sheldon is just so easy to fall in love with ♥
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
HP will always be my one true obsession! Half Blood Prince was PHENOMENAL. After disliking the last few movies, I was sure I wouldn't really like HBP. But I was wrong. I loved it. It gives me such hope for Deathly Hallows (and according to the trailer, DH already looks AMAZING)
While I'm here and speaking of HP: I must also give an honorable mention to 'A Very Potter Musical' which also has a spot in my 2009 obsessions. AMAZING.
Neil Patrick Harris
Again, no surprises here. Loved everything he was in, and love following him on Twitter now. I don't have much to say on the manner, lol. He's just pretty.
