KFC is nasty anyway. It's the weirdest chicken I've ever seen.

Poor chickens. :(

I read this a little before lunch, and when I was done watching the video, I yelled out "Who wants to go to KFC for lunch today?" :-P

Seriously, you're eating them and eventually shitting them out...I don't think it gets any worse than that...the only real problem I have with that video is the unecessary outright abuse at the end...that's just uncalled for.

Plus, how do you KNOW that was filmed at KFC's facilities? PETA can sometimes get a little extreme with things...that could have been filmed at a Lee's facility. :-P

In my defense, I didn't have sound when I was watching it, so there could be some proof in there that it was a KFC facility. But you know, do you really need sound when watching Pamela Anderson? :-P

I'm not saying they shouldn't be eaten.. I'm saying they shouldn't abuse them like that.. it's just terrible. Watch it with audio.. when they scorch them, some of them are still alive and feel every ounce of the pain of it! They cut off their beaks and make it painful for them to eat and they do it when they are babies!!! It's terrible!
And I hate Lee's anyway so.. nyah! :Þ

I was sitting here watching that and my kids decided to watch along. My son has decided he no longer wants to eat chicken. I'm not happy about the video. It made me teary.

I do agree with whiteknight77, PETA is known for going to extreme measures to make a point. I don't agree with the abuse and I feel that there should be better methods to raising the chickens and slaughtering them. A hell of a lot better methods. But, honestly, I doubt things will get better (on KFC's end). There's not enough people who want to do anything about it. Sure, they'll whine, bitch and moan after watching the video. But, they won't get off their lazy arses to do anything. As for me, I signed the petition on the Care2 site and I'll probably never enter another KFC (for myself) without thinking about the video. But, I'm not sure what else there is we can do to get this crap to stop.

Sorry for the rant-iness. Animal abuse sparks my shorts, and not in a good way.

I agree, PETA does go a bit far sometimes and some of the supporters that I have seen have just been.. well.. nuts about it all. But, to see that video is just horrid. Animal abuse bugs the hell out of me. Once, when I was in high school.. some dumb little boys had found a small dog outside on the school grounds, they had it in the back stairwell and were being mean to it, even pissing on it! I freaked out! I kicked one of them in the nuts , threw him down the stairs and said "Yeah, feels good, doesn't it?" And I took the dog to the office. It came from the house that was right beside the school. I was mean in highschool. I was the one you didn't want to screw who would rather kick your ass than have to deal with you but, NEVER , EVER would I have been that cruel, even as a kid!

I've always been emotional when it comes to animal abuse, hurt animals, etc. I'd like to see the day when animals could strike back.

YOu realize that PETA is not really a reliable source of information, right?
