Well, I was gonna writa a post about this documentary I saw last night called Friends of God and how evangelical christian groups, like this one, piss me off.

I enjoy not smelling like an ass-tray when I come home too. But I think not having an establishment / place / club for smokers is wrong. It is like having a weight limit imposed on all restaurants to prevent fat people from eating out. Enforced discrimination doesn't sit right with me.

Also 9 customers a night is a lot for a good low key local bar. I don't think chain-bars like Sherlocks and Fox&Hound are as worried.

Downtown Austin is booming, but all the new bars are lame and have cover bands. I never thought to blame the smoking ban, but maybe that has had an effect?

Yeah, I have to agree that enforced discrimination is bullshit. I was thinking more of 6th street bars than small local bars when I was talking about the loss of business.

I just got back from Vegas and they have made a lot of it non smoking too. Fucking crazy. I would've thought Vegas would've been the last to go.
