*sigh* WHAT THE FUCK is up with organizations getting more extreme as they stay around longer?

So many organizations start off with a good message, some decent reasoning and a simple agenda. And they win! So many great things have come about from these grass roots organizations -- but then after they win, they start to get more crazy and extreme, it's like they get a taste of power or something. Maybe they want to be anti-establishment after the establishment accepts them. Or maybe they just decide they like what they do and try to continue to justify their own existence, I don't know. I have no clue how they operate or think -- but they just seem to get crazier and more extreme.

MADD is a perfect example of good work gone insane.
