day before Thanksgiving

I never really knew just how important Thanksgiving is....but the department says it all. It's the day BEFORE, 3 p.m. and the place is near empty, save for a few graduate students despairing over term projects (such as me, where this includes a certain element of ignorance concerning the holiday) and professors despairing over long overdue homework
