Aside from the small crowd of white-gloved technicians combing the small study, and the body of Joshua Huber lying face-down in the center of the floor, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I liked your take on the topic! I figured it was going to be the priest--it's always the priest. Too bad he wasn't smart enough to clean up after himself?

He did clean up very well, in fact. I imagine it takes some talent to not leave behind any DNA or other tell-tale signs. If it hadn't been for that stupid floor tile...

I like how everyone is assuming that the killer was Father Douglass when clearly the murder weapon was found with the button. The button was the clear culprit here.

This is really good stuff though, for one who seldom ever reads or visits the world of mystery.

I kind of feel that way, too. I don't know if I'm ready to embark on a longer work of fiction, but I think this might be a good one to start with.

I had no idea it was going to be the priest until the button was found but then I'm always really, really rubbish at knowing who the murderer is. I have to have it pointed out to me lol!
