First things first...
Quick summary:
- 19/5 Lost a filling from chomping too hard into an apparently non-pitted raisin. Set an appointment with a local Dentist.
- Started working out more often and worked with a personal trainer (gratis) to set some weight goals. Apparently, Kgs weigh more than Lbs. Whodathunk?
- Had sushi with a friend in Århus. It was pretty good, despite it being takeout. The company was interesting, too. :)
- 20/5 Was told a meeting was canceled at work and acted accordingly. Whoops! The meeting actually wasn't canceled and it's back out in Århus. It was a little informative, but mostly a waste of time for me to attend.
- 22/5 Went to Dentist appointment. Neither the filling nor the price were painful at all! Dentistry is apparently government subsidized here.
- 24/5 Had ice cream and a tour of downtown Århus with the aforementioned friend. Discovered why it'd be a good idea to remain friends only. Still had a good time, though.
- 30/5 Had a dinner "date" with a cute blond boy who lives down the street. We had Italian. It was very yum! The company was pretty awesome, and the evening ended nicely, but we have yet to make date #2.
- 5/6 Constitution Day in Denmark! == Absolutely nothing to do. So, I made for a roadtrip. I was going to drive up to
Aalborg Had a last-minute mind-change and felt like doing some serious driving, and so ended up driving to
Kiel, DE instead. I didn't have too much time to do any exploring in the city as it took 3:30 each way. I did, however, manage to do 182 km/h (115mph) on the Autobahn. >:) And that was just barely keeping up with the rest of the drivers.
- 9/6 - 12/6 Was in
Videbæk for training. Managed to fill in some of the time with a couple of dates with a very nice local boy who speaks American English (it's mostly British English here). I'll be going back for more training in July, so I hope to see him again then. :)
14/6 - Left for the first leg of my vacation - London! The flight was of no consequence, though I had an interesting time figuring out the mass transit situation. Apparently, the train system is completely independent of the underground train system, which is independent (to a lesser extent) of the bus system. I spent a good couple of hours figuring all this out/traveling until I finally made it to the
Norfolk Towers Hotel. I'm not quite thrilled with them at the moment. The amenities seem to be lacking. I started out in a very small room on the 2nd floor. I asked if I could upgrade, and they put me in a room in the 5th floor that at least feels a bit larger. I can deal with this as I won't be staying in the hotel for very much while here anyway. However, there seems to be a hot water problem. We'll see if this persists. If it does, I may just end up switching hotels mid-stream.
Anywho, so far I've been out to Leicester Square to see
Avenue Q! It was a really awesome show! I'm glad it's showing here, so I don't have to miss it in Portland a couple of weeks from now. The lead of the show had a great voice and did an excellent job of emoting through his character(s). He's also total eye-candy. :P
I haven't quite formulated a list of things to do tomorrow yet, but later in the evening is a London Symphony concert. I am utterly exhausted, so I'll be figuring out the rest of my day tomorrow after I wake up.
Until then, thank you for reading. :)
