deviantART Anyways, I was away most of last week. I was in FABULOUS, FABULOUS…LAS VEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!! And no, I
didn't see the same crazy Indian convenience store owner everywhere. Sorry to disappoint.
We arrived on Monday to check into our hotel, the Mirage. Then we quickly had to find a place at Treasure Island to find dinner before our first show, Mystère. We saw this Cirque du Soleil show the last time the entire family went to Vegas, which was when I was eight. (Damn, eleven years…@_@) All I can say about it is…"Papaaaaaaaaaaa!!" There's a little girl character and she "selects" a man in the front row as her "Papa". She often calls out to him.
Second day: Since Mom and my two uncles didn't want to deal with my great-uncle planning everything to the second, we ran off for the day, eventually riding the monorail, doing some shopping at the Palazzo and Forum Shops, and the browsing the MGM Grand. While shopping, I finally got my hands on a PSP and bought Little Big Planet for it. At MGM we picked up two sets of tickets for KÀ (the show we were seeing that night) and O (which was the next night). Later, we had dinner at a very nice Pan-Asian restaurant. To which Mom and I would like to state that black sesame mochi in red bean soup gives the same reaction as the original black sesame ice cream from Ginko's in Toronto. (I know that some people will know what I'm talking about.)
KÀ is a new Cirque show in Vegas that tells a linear story. It has some amazing acrobatic work (especially when the stage rises vertically and they're still running up it!) and is definitely amazing.
Afterwards we ran back to the hotel to catch it's late night speciality: the Mirage Volcano!
Third day: M&M's Store!!! Vegas has a four-tier store completely dedicated to M&M's. I bought a four-pound bag, mostly consisting of colors not typically known to man. So expensive… >_< Dinner was at a Mediterranean-themed restaurant in the Bellagio.
O is an unique Cirque show that incorporates water tricks. People are synchronized swimming, diving in…and at times they even raise the stage above the water level so people can walk across the stage.
Fourth day: Mom and I took in something new. We decided to hit up the hotel spa and take in facials! They were so different! There was a strange spinning brush thingie (think Colgate SpinBrushes…but with a bigger brush) that I made me resist the urge to sneeze when it was on my nose. xD Afterwards we lounged around the hotel and then took in dinner at the Italian restaurant in our hotel.
The last Cirque show we saw was Love, the one that didn't include any original music since it was themed from the Beatles. It was very much a dance show and deserves a second view in a different location, especially during the "Octopus's Garden" number (a sheet goes over the lower half of the audience; we were in the upper half).
We arrived back home late Friday.
Back to the PSP…I've already finished Little Big Planet, technically. I've played through the entire game and saw the credits. However, I still have to replay all the levels to get all items and more side levels. I've also ordered Project Diva, which should be in either Monday or Tuesday. Later, I plan on order Project Diva 2 and the Gakuen Hetalia game (which doesn't have a release date yet ;_;).
I've been trying to keep up on the World Cup!!! However, I've been failing miserably because I never get the TV long enough to actually watch a game. ;_; Also, my family is surprised. They thought I hated sports. (Me: I do. I just find soccer much more tolerable than others. Like hockey, baseball, and football. I am so un-American.)
So, how about them vuvuzelas?
This might change your mind! And now for something completely different!

This is the most adorable PV of Toeto ever!)
I also recently discovered that Quicktime has a way to record my desktop. \o/ If I ever get good enough or am asked, I can show the world how I color on SAI. I somehow doubt that this will ever happen.
