You know my life is devoid of excitment and such when I fill my journal with nothing but Youtube crap.

But this time it's different.

This song has been pretty much my own personal anthem since the moment I fell out of my mother's womb......

And yeah the lyrics hit home and Paul Simon is hot and whatnot but ( Read more... )

I have trouble seeing anyone beating Florida, and of course, I don't count out UCLA or UNC.

well most of my picks are based on wishful thinking. i hate florida and unc. i also get a big kick out of predicting improbably upsets like nms over texas, long beach state over tennessee. gives my bracket some punch.

Simon & Garfunkle, yay! LOVE. Great song.

*hugs* Hope tomorrow is a beter day!

The overuse of the f-word is puts me off as well - like some people really talk that way, non-stop!

I've just recently gotten back into the habit of listening to the local oldies station.
The other night they played "Cecilia" and I nearly died! I hadn't heard that tune in a month of Sundays. Then right after that came my honey Bobby Darin.:) I was in heaven.

And I know the lady is trying to evoke a "mood" but the language really bothers me. Did Chandler or Hammett ever have to use that word? I rest my case. The only time I use that word whilst writing is when I pen erotica. It's almost manditory in that case.;)

I've been listening to my local oldies station as well, on the AM dial, heh - they still have Wolfman Jack, yay! I can't stand the 'modern oldies' stuff - don't get me wrong, I love stuff from the 70s and 80s, but that doesn't belong on an oldies station, thankyouverymuch!

Exactly - occassionally, I can understand the use of the word, but when it's overdone, in a way that it's not realistic, then that really annoys me - and yeah, I can imagine you would need that in erotica, lmao

Exactly! I hate it when Fleetwood Mac or worse, the friggin' Doobie Brothers pop up inbetween The Four Tops and Herman's Hermits. 70's rock always kills it for me.

I can imagine you would need that in erotica, lmao

Taha, and I've been writing an awful lot of that recently...wonder why?;p

If I can't interest you in a Nez tale or two, hows about a Bob episode?

I love that song and relate to it so much, but it also depresses me because I think it talks about a really hollow kind of existence. At least for me. :(
I guess that's kind of because I'm living it, though.

Me too. Can I really be that self-involved? That rather frightens me.

I love, nay, worship your Gussie Finknottle icon.:)

Haha, thanks. I think he's basically me if I were more endearing and a man. And British. And fictional.
