yeah i liked that rebuttal a lot. i'd been feeling sucked in by the he's just not that into you stuff.

except...i don't think that i'm ever completely dependable, or that my family is, or my friends. i'm trying to accept that nothing-is-certain even from myself. or, sometimes people are dependable and trustworthy in ways that you don't think you want them to be - harsh when you want support, supportive when you want challenge, and maybe that's good in the long run. or maybe it isn't.

you have pulled me through so much. i'm going to try to be dependable for you, too.
