thanks. i just wrote joan that i feel so lucky though. while we were there one of the mom's lost her child. :( that was awful. to hear her screaming and crying down the hall.

Oh my god, how awful. Poor woman.

Seems odd to me that they wouldn't rather do an appendectomy if they're reasonably sure that's what it is, rather than letting it possibly burst, which would be a lot more complicated. Hope he feels better soon in any case!

I can't even imagine! Poor mom. Yes, it's good to remember how lucky we are, and to give our babies extra hugs.
