I've decided something this week.

That decision is to drop two of my classes (now possibly three depending on what one of my profs says in an email back to me), thus making me stay back another semester at least, and probably for another year. So no graduation for me this year, either... and that means it's going to take six years to finish my ( Read more... )

People say it matters, I don't think it really does. Except (personally) I probably feel less pressure to stay in the situation I don't like.

Whatever - you're paying for this crap, so you should be able to make it work for you, even if that means staying longer. If you rush yourself, you'll never get the same results, so do what you need to do and don't worry so much.

Also, as to the 'preparing yourself' thing, I don't think anyone's REALLY prepared for it until they're there - as indicated by all of the LIES high school teachers tell us to 'prepare us' for university. So maybe it would have been better if you'd waited, but maybe not. The only thing we know for sure is it would have been different, right?
