Stupid !@#$% App!

I updated to the new version of the livejournal app.

I'm running the latest version of iOS SIX, not 7, can't upgrade to 7.

The thing just totally doesn't work at all. It tries to open, it closes right away.

Arrrgggghhh.

(Help? I already un-installed and re-installed and nuthin'.)

I know pretty much nothing about iOS, but is the version of LJ app you are using compatible with iOS6? (I just found out on my mum's iPad (iOS6) that Skype was behaving like a mule. When I tried to open it, it just sat there and petulantly demanded to be updated before proceeding. I am letting it sit for a while to think what it was doing. But I am fighting a losing battle.)

Thanks... I mean, it SHOULD have been compatible because apps usually tell you when they're not (you get a warning message saying "you need iOS 7 to install this app" and then it closes and doesn't let you install it. I have no idea how to go back to previous versions of apps and they make it very hard for the lay person to do so (if I knew how to do that I would be a happy, happy person. Hmm...maybe this is something I should Tumblr...)
