Perspective hurts when it is so limited. It is a weakness and a crutch at a minimal level. Its the whole fat dumb and happy syndrome. Even those of us that wish to know, and wish to learn, though cannot afford to or do not wish to expirience on our own, are overwhelmed with contradictory evidence ( Read more... )

Man, if Bush gets reelected we are all so fucked. It really burns me to think of all the people who signed up for service(with noble ambitions of protecting the things they love) get used and abused and turned into a symbol of asshole-ness to the rest of the world.

I feel like I am an American in exile, here in my own country. I love America, I love the ideals it was built on, and having never so much as touched a gun, would willingly die defending those ideals. I feel that my America has been stolen from me, and the theives are telling me that dissent from the program is rejection of the USA. It's not, I just want my fucking country back. Fuck Bush, fuck Cheney, fuck all the 'Hawks'- it IS apt- predators swooping down on rabbits and mice and devouring them- but it's not noble.

We were supposed to lead the world, not crush it into submission.

Well said! That is where the continuation of my thoughts were going when I stopped.

Its funny how my gut knows this is all wrong, but i am apprehensive to make to many assumptions, and draw too many conclusions about "what's really going on." This administrations control of the media is quite ingenious, and quite sickening.

nothing constitues war. i study buddism. i understand the ideals of peace and the agony that comes from reconciliation and a great/deep effort to turn the other cheek. the sickness is that the remedy hurts before you can gain. i was there.. i saw it.. i don't defend that it was right.. thats just it=
THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER.
wait, let me say that again::::::::

THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER

there's the better answer. and then there's the answer that suits the progressive capitalism that gives you a job because america is growing bigger and better and faster. the unfortunate part is you don't get to pick.

i admire your passion for peace.

someday i would really like to share with you everything that i saw over there. not to convince you of anything, but just to help you with the frustration of your limited understandings. i honestly believe that was 50% of why i even went.

~hugs~
