help!

any advice of where to look for a funky dress to wear to a wedding?
cool nyc stores/online shops/etc...
the wedding is on a boat so the dress cannot be too slinky/sheer/lightweight/summery.
i am going to try to get a dress that is NOT black. but i will most likely fail!
