I am appalled at the unfairness of the universe when a friend with an MA, highly intelligent, great personality, beautiful and full of potential, who is trying to live her life the right way, pay for herself, her bills, her debts, taking responsiblity for her life and generally being an all-round credit to society is having bad thing after bad

I think telling people this is deffinatly something worth doing, I know it's not a reward from "society" but it's worth doing sometimes...

I think the problem is that the definition of "good people" is hard to pin down.....
and sometimes "just telling people" they are great, is more than good enough ;)

Whoop-dee-do!! - thats not much consolation when your house is repossessed as you can't pay your mortgage when the dole scum down the road has his rent paid for him!!

So to take it to its furthest conclusion - if a human has nothing - nothing - but a good inner feeling - then without sustenance he dies - so you are saying its better to be dead and feeling good inside than to be properly rewarded for being a good person - thus leaving only bad people to populate the earth - great - that fills me with hope for the future...

Next time I see a homeless person with nowhere to live, destitute in the gutter, I'll tell him that it doesn't matter how awful his life is as long as he has a good inner feeling...

Karma, good or bad, catches up with everyone in the end, and we all eventually get what we deserve. It just takes longer for some people than others.

is I don't know a good enough answer? I am suffering from one of those annoying headaches that isn't bad enough to go home with, but makes you act like you've lost half your brain cells.
