Which box is it, specifically? Boss PS-3 or PS-2? Either way though, you're looking at hell/impossibility as far as the repairs most likely, IMO. There aren't many people out there who can work with those heavily digital pedals and the repair costs just wouldn't be worth it.

If it is the PS-3, do you have an expression pedal? If so, throw it in the exp input and see what happens. Honestly, nothing should happen differently, but I've never heard of your problem before and thus would probably poke around a lot like that.

The knob works fine when you have it as a delay though... That is the big problem. If it was generally all around fucked, I'd just assume the pot went bad.

naw, it's not a pedal, it's a small semi-rack unit. RPS-10.

the fine tune works fine. i'm going to look for a manual for it to see if i can find out what's wrong... maybe it's a common problem? i mean, they stopped making the rps-10 a while ago, maybe that's why they stopped? who knows? it is cool that the mistake drops it a tri-tone tho, cuz it make single notes a tri-tone, and that's kinda cool sounding... but yeah, i also don't know how much exactly it's worth, but i've seen them go for as much as $185 on ebay.

Ah! The RPS-10... Cool unit. Still though, never heard of that problem. Anyway, those units, in my experience, dont' actually go for all that much, so I don't know. The old Boss half racks are underrated.

Check that guy out. If anyone can help you with it and not rip you off, it's him. He's a great guy and is quick too :)

this thing has capabilities that i had no idea about. i'm thinking about just using the keyboard control for the pitch shift. it also has a hold input... i don't ever use it. i really should get a few pedals for it... that would actually fix the pitch shift problem, cuz if i'm running a keyboard into it to shift the pitch, there's no need to use the knob.

thanks for your help... and that guy makes some crazy effect.

a cello's in 5ths... i don't own a violin, but i was using that tuning to get used to it... i suppose if it's tuned in 4ths, i shouldn't really even need any practice other than bowing... man, that makes me feel stupid. haha.
