Holaaaa. I'm new to the community.
I play in a band with some of my friends on my electric (though sometimes I just use my acoustic with a pick up for a warmer sound) and I was wondering if any of you could suggest a good effects pedal? We're looking to experiment with different sounds. Thanks in advance.

I use an Digitech RP80 The effects are good for the $. It's annoying editing the patches but once you learn how to use it it's ok.

i mostly use a multieffects (alesis guitarfx and a digitech studio400)- this works best for me because i'm new to the world of effects and this way i can mess around with all sorts of things without having to have known beforehand exactely what i wanted (or how well it would work on the violin). umm, they are both great...it seems like a multi is the way to go for experimenting- the alesis pretty affordable, and you are bound to come up with something good. although i'm not crazy about the distortion ive been able to achieve with it- i think i might need a seperate distortion pedal (or perhaps to just mess around some more with the order of the modules). good luck:)

I'm not a big fan of effects, but Try a Wah pedal, they sound really kool for an electric violin also try some sort of overdrive cause when you play single notes, it is clean, but if you play things on more than one string at a time then there is a slight crunch to it and it sounds pretty kool also try a delay of somesort those can be fun once you learn how to use them. I came up with a concept a little while ago using my danelctro Black Coffee death metal distrotiong pedal called metal fiddleing it is basically fiddleing with heave distortion and once you get it sounds kinda kool, you just gotta be able to shred on a violin like you would on a guitar, it's all about the speed. well hope this gives you some ideas
