I use a Fishman V-200 on my acoustic. It requires a fair bit of EQ tweaking to get a good tone but it's not too expensive and is very reliable. It's real easy to install as well - just wedge the thing into your bridge and you're set.

There are alot of options. It depends on what sound you want and what your budget is.

I haven't tried any of these myself, It's not in my budget yet...

If your looking for good acoustic sound mics are probably the best. The order from good to not so good for the most common seems to be, clip on mics, adhesive mics, and piezo pickups.

For feed back resistance the order is probably the opposite so take that into account if you playing in really loud situations.

A really good place to get some information is the fiddle forum.

Good luck
