"It ain't no use to sit and wonder why...babe"

Lastnight was challenging. We had our pre-dress-rehearsal rehearsal for Renaissance Singers. I experienced a situation in which I felt less than pleased with both my singing and my musicianship. This always happens when my ego gets too big. People start to tell me what an incredible voice I have, then I start to feel superior to my classmates, and ( Read more... )

Holy crap, dude, isn't it such an awkward range? The "E" area. Also for me its B to C. Fucking half steps.

Just don't do anything experimental until the concert is over. Chill out with some throat coat and take it easy and vocalize every day! You'll be fine.

Oh man, and I totally know what you mean about the ego thing. Dr. Wright should've beat that out of us years ago. You know what we need? TO VISIT HIM. That'll put us in our places. XD

Also, I would totally come see you but I have my closing night for "Play On" that night! :(

I have no idea if you have dress rehearsal or anything, but if you want to come see my play, its HILARIOUS. "Play On" at BCC.

Loves you.

Somehow I never put together that Renaissance would/could mean Elizabethan/Jacobean songs, and then I see the name Tallis up there and it all makes sense.

I have the same problems with acting and ego. Although they did a great job of hammering that attitude out of me last year, there are tendrils that surface once in a blue moon.

How strongly suggested is the donation of $15 dollars? I would really like to see this, but there's no way I could afford that. I don't even see plays that are more than 10. Actually, I can't remember the last time I spent more than ten dollars, except for groceries. Maybe liquor.

As strong as you want to make it. We would rather have people come and pay a little, then not come at all. $5 if you want. It'd be nice to see you there.
