It's the
completion of one cycle in the Mayan calendar.
If you want a permanent post to stay on top of your other updates, you post it into the far future.
We'll see what happens when that day finally arrives.
About this place and myself:
For first time visitors, old friends, and anyone who's curious -
On Journaling:
I don't consider myself a dedicated or interesting blogger.
I often go missing for days, months, and recently:
more than a year.
Nevertheless, it takes me hours to write a single entry
Because I edit it repetitively.
Especially the formatting.
You'll often find my writing this way.
Short lines
that are not, in any way,
suppose to be poetry.
Sometimes they are,
but not unless you think so.
It's to represent the flow of thought.
In that case, yes, it is like poetry.
Because I don't think in paragraphs.
And I'm pretty sure other people don't either.
Ne, ToFu?
I probably got it from you, huh?
Although I have written this way for a while,
I get the suspicious feeling that I'm also being influenced
by all the
J-web entries and magazine interviews from Johnny's Entertainment idols
that I read frequently.
There's this different atmosphere to their words,
but how much is lost in translation?
Perhaps someday I'll be able to post by entries in both Japanese and English.
Unconsciously, I think my writing has changed
to reflect this possibility.
I might even get a little fancy
and add a Japanese emoji.

As for the content of this LJ,
looking back on past entries
as I locked many and made others public
in preparation of reopening this blog again,
it's a place where I tend
to vent, create, and ponder.
A record of the details in my life
and as close of an interpretation of my feelings
at the time.
*
If the image of what kind of person I am
is to be read from only this LJ,
it can be totally different from what I really am,
depending on the situation.
What is written here
and how I present myself
are things I choose to show.
Of course, things in real life
like unguarded reactions
are sometimes impossible to be ever-conscious about.
But a journal is something that you
most definitely
choose to filter.
Just exactly what kind of person am I to others?
*
I've probably mentioned this before.
This is a theme I've thought a lot about.
Something I've carried from childhood.
I liked having cute diaries when I was little.
I had this romantic idea
where my diary is discovered
in one of my obscure hiding spots
(the hole in the lining of a pea coat jacket).
Kinda like Anne Frank.
Alas, I never wrote anything more than 2 or 3 pages.
But what I wrote, I did so in anticipation of the day
when my secrets would be divulged.
Although most people claim that they journal
only for their own personal benefit,
when you write, who are you addressing?
Yourself? "Hey, you, remember that time..."
or
"Dear Diary..."
Come on now.
You know your diary is never going to respond.
Journals and diaries, writing in general,
are unconsciously composed for some anonymous third party.
Humans don't just create and
imprint themselves into materialistic things,
without the knowledge that one day
it will be seen by another.
*
Even with this and learning about it in Anthropology 003
It just dawned upon me,
after years of using this thing,
what it is meant to "LiveJournal."
You can choose to let people read,
make comments and responses
to what you blog.
You do have an audience.
Your journal really is "alive."
LoL.
As you can see, I'm not the fastest horse on the track.

Owari.
End.
I may change this from time to time. Check the brackets for updates, if any.
