I am at a complete loss......

I am at a complete loss as to why Doctor Who Fans actually have to flounder for a "cogent" explanation for why, after this man and woman got a look at each other, they didn't immediately want to know the other better.

Aww yessss. Mickey and Martha looked gorgeous together in TEOT and make a lot of sense when you think about it, but it would have been nice to see more interaction between them before-hand. I'll always mourn their absence from Torchwood: Children of Earth.

I agree. All we get to see is Mickey and Martha leaving the TARDIS with Martha and Jack. But I'd like to think that Mickey was rushing to catch up--had not the Doctor said anything he would not have said goodbye to anyone but Jackie--more with Martha than with Jack. From Russell's statements in A Writer's Tale, although he encouraged Freema to to take LOUK, he truly missed having Freema on the mini-series. And I'm loving Larissa on the Carrie Dairies--she seems all fluff and fashion, but then the character is an escaped child bride--so who knows where the writers will take that--and the writers love the character.

Noel did a video diary mainly with Freema; a fan would have used some of that footage to make up for missing scenes--but of course the director couldn't....sigh.

I love the recent photoshoot Noel and Freema did with a child actor, they look like the Smith-Jones family :) Good to hear Carrie Diaries is going well for Freema.

I did wonder if that young man was an actor or a relative. Freema talked about wrapping the first episode of Season two today on Twitter.

I only recently became a Who fan. I started watching it season three when Martha came on. Then I went back and watched older episodes. So I will always be partial to her. So to me they totally underused her and Mickey and Jack Harkness as well. When I saw the first inkling of Mickey and Martha I was hoping they would put just a little bit more with it or at least a few cameos in Torchwood.

Yeah, Noel talks about how he was at a lost, and says had he meant Mickey in those early days he would have punched him, and he would have just left Rose long before the character choose to walk away; he was very proud and happy to be paired with Freema. But he's a very, very busy man.
