I hadn't received a credit card I signed up for and called and they re-issued a new card with a new account number for me. The rep then tried to sell me an expensive credit monitoring service. I let her finish her pitch before telling her I wasn't interested. Then this is what happened

That settles it. Global warming is my new all-purpose non-sequitur. If someone asks for a reason when I shouldn't have to give one, it's no thanks, global warming.
