Small portion from a BBC article about a more accessable web that caught my attention, the kid is SUEING target for its website

"Legal standards
There are numerous ways of making the web easier to use for everyone, but will companies see the benefits to building a fully accessible site and actually go about implementing it?

can't the kid just get one of those programs that reads text off of a page?

besides, i don't think he really has any standing in the case. target's website doesn't exist to exclude the blind, just like their stores don't exist to exclude those who can't physically get there. not only is this lawsuit completely frivolous, but it will be an unfortunate bit of PR for any underrepresented groups that may be trying to make headway in sensible directions. ugh... a shame in more ways than one.
