A friend found this and sent it to me because I'm geeky over this stuff and she knows it.

The first: it's one of the first reports for the casting of the Avatar: the Last Airbender movie I've read. It's tentative but they have most of the kids in mind already.

Thank you! I think I saw one picture of him from Google and just didn't get it, so I gave up. I can see why they might think he's cool for it: it's the hair. Totally. Maybe the shoulders. I haven't seen the movie he's in yet so I hope he can do it justice because Sokka rocks.

If it is IT'S NOT FUNNY! They're making me really upset and I'm not sure if it's really all that worth getting upset over. I mean, there's a bright side, right? I can't see it right now but maybe he'll, um. Oh. What are they thinking?

A lot of people are getting upset about the nationality/race of the actors. I'm not sure yet. I would love it if they tried to make it seem more in-tune with the universe but if the actors got it then it shouldn't matter. Except Jesse.

I'm more worried about their ages. It'll take six years for the three movies to be done. A 12-year-old boy is not going to fit in for too long, ya know?
