My anime history 1, or Listen! Don't listen to me, listen!
I want to write about the anime/animation I've seen over the years. (Also I'm using this as practice for staying on-topic.) I went through my brain and realized that the list is lengthy and that a lot of it had quite a bit of influence on me in one way or another.

My heart has joined the Thousand for my friend stopped running today...
Last night my mother's youngest brother died. His cancer had reached his brain last month and he'd decided to stop the treatment that was making him so miserable. Yesterday morning he passed out and was airlifted out of the woods near his home to a nearby hospital. His DNR was respected and oxygen was the only support provided. So. The first bike trip was a success, in that both of us went and we both came back, riding the bikes both ways. There were some lessons learned, of course.

I think I liked it better when I wasn't wearing shoes...
But that's neither here nor there. The ride home was nice and sunny, and all told it took me an hour to get home. Maybe a little longer because I detoured through The Development (as Ms. Marple would put it) to try and find a bit of a shortcut past the rough spots on Pirate Lane and Lipscomb. First commute (not a religious ceremony)
I rode my bike to work today last night! (Damn dayside definitions of time) And I'll be riding home this morning. It was fun, and even the sneaky sun-shower/storm only made me laugh because I really thought I'd escape the rain. And my shoes squeak so I've been running around all night in my socks ( Read more... )
