Notes: As Rei has taken the time to write a long note discussing this fic, I shall refrain from distributing all of my thoughts in this post. (Though I may post a more in depth post to r_e_i_writes later.) Suffice to say, this is one of my last pieces in J&A fandom. I wrote this for je_devilorangel with reiicharu. It was an extremely last minute thing; we started the day that stories were due, and we finished it, amazingly, in less than 24 hours. Due to the time constraints, this piece was less of an exploration in what Rei and I could do together and more of us playing to our strengths. And our strengths, in this case, were remarkably simple. After brief discussion of the plot (and I picked one of the most ludicrous ideas I could think of with my jet-lagged mind), I set about constructing the frame of the story while Rei slept. I would like to commend Rei, however. When she woke up, I had also just woken up from a jet-lagged induced nap, and she had the barely completed pieces of the frame to work with. I gave her her assignment: write a Kamenashi/Taguchi love story, don't use Kazuya/Junnosuke until the end, and she wrote the center love story so perfectly that I didn't have to add any scenes to my frame to make the transitions smooth. So if you're going to compliment anybody for this story, complement Rei for managing to work with my rough outline so perfectly that the post-production stage was exceedingly painless.
That being said, this was one of the most fun stories I've ever written, and I'd like to thank Rei for being an excellent partner.
