'Now, therefore, be it

Resolved

That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that--

(1) an Irish-American Heritage Month should be established; and

(2) the people of the United States should observe such a month with appropriate ceremonies, celebrations, and activities.'

It's amazing that the amount of actual people in the US of an Irish heritage is put near the last reason...shouldn't that be the FIRST? Oh well, i'm more than a quarter Irish.

Man, my representatives are slacking. I didn't see a single Massachusetts co-sponsor, and we actually make up excuses to take the day off on the feast of Saint Patrick.

my suspicion is that they aren't too concerned, since every day is irish american day around here!
