An evening with friends...and then some. :)

Grad dinner was held on the 15th at Mount Faber Safra. Not everyone was invited which kinda sucked but I still enjoyed myself. It seemed to me as though everyone dressed less extravagantly than they did during prom night although there were a number of gorgeous outfits. I just wished I had brought my own camera (even if I need a rubber band to hold it in place) instead of my dad's because his camera doesn't even capture sounds. It was a real pity since I thought I had videoed the beatboxing workshop.

YES. The entertainment was freaking fantastic. There was a magician who did card tricks, a fire-eater, salsa and jive dancers, an Elvis impersonator, a beatboxing workshop and a fantastic crooner. Even the party games were rather fun, very reminiscent of the 60s with the mass syncronized dance. XD Sue even participated in the catwalk game. They also played familiar songs the whole night long from Falling In Love, Hello, Poker face (expected)...and NOBODY. Even if it was the house remix, I freaked and started dancing in my seat much to the chagrin of Sue and Hazwani - I can't help it...I haven't touched that song in a over two weeks.

The food however, while decent was rather forgettable. The only thing I liked was the fish maw soup - proof that you don't need sharks fins to make the soup taste like shark fin soup. :) Well...the chicken curry however, was just extremely peculiar and the fried rice...let's just say I was appalled they even served it. I was tempted to go into the kitchen and teach the darn guys who did the fried rice how to make a nicer version but meh. Yes, it sucked.

The video tribute, however sent most of us into nostalgic mode. Most of us have at least once, stayed back late in school until the censor-activated lights died (or kicked in) - we'd be standing on the tables and benches waving our arms around wildly to get it running again. And then there's all the time spent in the library doing whatever you wanted or needed to do...at the appropriate levels of course. If you're an NP student, you should know which floors are dedicated to snoozefest, the mugging, the discussions, the hanging out and the gaming. XD They promised that we'll get the video so I'll post in on FB or something once I do get it. Oh and in case you were wondering what the door gift was, it was a 2GB thumbdrive.

Saturday was boring so I'll just fast forward to Sunday. BUT not without saying this - whatever happened to chitchat of beautiful ladies on KBS World?! If they changed the timing again...I'll be pissed. First MuBank and now this. T.T Oh and it was Bryan's birthday - no idea if he even got my message though. Ah well. Happy Birthday Lao Uncle! :P

Sunday morning was spent watching BOF's last episode on TV with my mum. Heck, even my dad joined in. My sisters and I were going, 'YIJUNG!', my mum was going "What the heck is she doing, trying to commit suicide is it?" (Since she didn't watch it from the start). My dad keeps thinking EVERY girl on the screen is the main lead after that scene and was arguing that it was. *rolls eyes* But watching it on on wide-screen was completely worth the wait.

I hear that KBS2 will be airing the other half of the retarded MV, this time featuring Jihoo and Jun Pyo in about a week's time or so. I can't remember the correct date but I think I'm not going to stalk it because stalking the previous one was just...well, the MV's retarded. *nods*

After that, it was off to meet my german class. Even if not everyone was able to make it, almost everyone I expected to see was there, including Frau Heng! Goodness, that woman never seems to age. Darryl even dropped in on us which was awesome since I haven't seen him in a long, long, long while. And was it just me or did his voice somehow managed to crack itself further? *shrugs*

If I had gone straight to City Hall, I'd have met up with everyone first but waited for Rosie at Plaza Sing where I went to check out if SJ's Sorry Sorry was in. I think I'm just gonna have to order from the Auntie from Singapore Shopping Centre if she's still there that is. Oh and Marks and Spencers had a freaking sale. I saw this lovely little black shirt that was about 60% off. Only it turns out they ran out of S and XS. T.T Thankfully Rosie called before I got more disappointed.

We managed to find our way down to Minds Cafe - the same venue we headed to the last time we met up. Haha. The main course does look good but I skipped it because I already had a heavy lunch. We played Smart Ass (although Liesel kept wanting to play Quelf. EVIL, I tell you...EVIL!). The game was surprisingly very fun for a trivia game - perhaps it's also due to the fantastic company. I wonder if I'll be able to meet them in July when Lok comes back.

The chit chat session, well more a grilling session focused specifically on a past relationship was intruiging. I never pinned him as being that cowardly - blur yes but cowardly...wow. Ah well, what's past is past but hey, it was nice to finally know what happened between the two. Also, I finally found out how he managed to evade NS - he's got a British passport so it's likely that he cancelled his PR status. However, it may mean that he'll never be able to return here since there's a huge risk of him being imprisoned for two years. Hearing it did make me realise that there is a silver lining in my not being sent off packing to Aussie back when we still had cash lah. XD

I do wonder how things will turn out in say another 4 years time or something. We've managed to meet almost every year - it's been something like 4 years now since we've went down our separate paths. It's a wonder that we're still so close. I shall miss you everyone of you guys!

Now, I just gotta have a poly mates outing soon and a Rabbit Crew outing and then I think I can go and serve my conscription content.
