one thing i can always count on with Dan's parties is cocktails and whiskey. I guess that's two things.

all in all, a productive weekend. my painting will be done within the next couple days and then on to project Rotisserie Chicken.

the best american song is billy joel's "goodnight saigon". he should do a follow up to that song about walter reed memorial, although he did make allusions to it twenty years ago. whereas bruce springsteen was the blue collar man's hero, billy joel managed to exemplify the excess of the white collar while still paying homage to the working man. two days ago, in the morning, getting dressed for work, I went to put on a t-shirt, but noticed what appeared to be crumbs on my stomach. Well I haven't written since before I got married. I still have thoughts and ideas but now i tend to write them in pocket notebooks and the margins of books. i fold the corners of paperbacks and highlight passages in magazines fully intending on memorizing them but never really revisting those ideas. i guess that's what my life is like. getting ( Read more... )
