the best american song is billy joel's "goodnight saigon". he should do a follow up to that song about walter reed memorial, although he did make allusions to it twenty years ago. whereas bruce springsteen was the blue collar man's hero, billy joel managed to exemplify the excess of the white collar while still paying homage to the working man.
