I liked this story. I always like your stories: they're beautifully detailed and delicate. A couple things, though: why writing it in present time? I don't really see the need. And also, Sirius seems a bit too mature for an eleven-year-old. Sure, he was pretty smart, but not exactly an example of maturity...

All in all, very good and entertaining. :D

I do have a tendency to write younger characters with more gravitas than they deserve -- a folly of being a rather serious child while growing up, maybe?
