Aw, Oliver! This is such a great fleshing out of a minor character. He tends to be rather cartoonishly described in the books, and it was really lovely to see him as a rounded character with hopes, dreams, and a history all of his own.

Minor comment: Last sentence, penultimate paragraph: the word "able" seems to be superfluous? /nitpick
