I always enjoy your reviews. I agree with you on pretty much everything. Conspiracy villains also get on my nerves if they don't seem sufficiently characterized and motivated. The creepy moved up a notch when Renard says he's trying to get to Nick through his friends. Just why exactly is he doing this? Why is he doing this this way? Is he operating under "better the Grimm you know than the one you dont'?" and just wants Nick off-balance and ineffective? I hope somebody has the answers to that because illogical villains are the worst of all.
The ladies were pretty great in this. I'm glad that in a world of wonders, the one that floors Nick is Juliette. I also love Juliette's little smirk when she plugs that bullseye.
Random Monroe/Rosalee thought brought on by too many freshman papers and too little sleep. If they got together and had puppies, would some of them be little wolves and some little foxes or would they be a mix? And how cute is the idea of Monroe/Rosalee puppies?!
God, imagine the teething stage for those babies! (and yes, that is a *ridiculously* cute idea.)
I've been trying to figure out Renard's angle with Hank. I can see a scenario where Nick, having found out some or all of Renard's game, has the immediate response of wanting to turn on Renard, refusing to work for him in one sense or the other, but can't rebel against him in a way that would also let him continue to keep his secrets from Hank. But I'm not sure how having Adalind have that sway over Hank would feed into that.
Maybe Adalind has more power and connection than we've seen, and Renard absolutely *has* to have her at his side to do what he needs to do, and he knows that Nick is gunning for her after what went down with Marie. Maybe giving her this hold over Hank has more to do with keeping Nick from going after her than with Renard himself. (though it'll be interesting to see what Renard has planned to keep Nick from going after *him*.)
