EPILOGUE
I miss it already
Yesung is quite chatty on the drive home. Kyuhyun listens intently. He’s pretty darn happy to finally be going back home after another semester. It’s their second year of College and they are currently another hour or so away from their homes. Yesung got into a school of choice one that had an academically pleasing track record to convince his parents and was an hour and a half drive away from Kyuhyun’s college.
Things could not have been better coordinated for them.
Kyuhyun was renting his own apartment nearby the college and therefore it made it easy for Yesung to spend the weekends with him. Sometimes when Yesung had too much work to do over the weekends, Kyuhyun would drive up to the college and spend those particular weekends on Yesung’s bed, the two of them cramped together. And in the mornings they would ignore the protests of Yesung’s ghastly roommate, Shen.
When they arrive at Yesung’s home, Kyuhyun parks his car into the available spot in the drive way. He grabs both his and Yesung’s bags leading them up the walkway and into the porch.
The door is unlocked and therefore Yesung pushes it open. The place appears to be in darkness and they both frown for a moment when suddenly the lights go on and there’s a loud
“SURPRISE!”
Kyuhyun startles so harshly that he drops the bags. Yesung is over taken by shock momentarily before he bursts into laughter. A room full of smiling faces stares back at them.
They are both attacked by Luna, who looks utterly rosy in her cheeks. Yesung grabbles onto her for dear life. It has been so long since they’ve seen each other face to face. It had been a tearful goodbye when it was Luna’s final day with them. Dropping her to the airport and watching her leave had Yesung clinging to Kyuhyun.
She had gotten into a University in Canada and therefore went to live with one of her relatives over there. Yesung spoke to her daily on the phone but it just hadn’t been the same as it used to be.
“Yesung! Oh my precious! I have missed the snot out of you” she spoke in English, her accent still intact but not as bad as it used to be.
Yesung’s bottom lip quivers, “Your Engrish is cured. And you’re a red head now” he flips Luna’s short red strands.
Luna looks behind Yesung, her narrowed eyes scanning the room, her mouth pursed in concentration. Yesung asks her what she’s looking for.
“Looking for your replacement faghag” she pouts, “I haven’t been replaced have I?”
Laughing off such nonsense, Yesung reassures her that she will always be his one and only faghag. “No other hag will do”
They hug tightly again. Luna is pulled off of Yesung by Saya.
“It’s my turn to hug my son”
Yesung hugs his mother desperately close to him, pulling in his father as well. Sometimes, despite Kyuhyun’s wonderful company, he misses his parents dearly. They had been in his young life for so long that the whole moving to a college and living on campus thing was terrifying. His father ruffles his hair and asks him about the trip.
Saya is just so happy her baby’s home. Kyuhyun encircles is arms around the three of them, adding to warmth and love within in the hug.
Kyuhyun high fives and giggles outrageously when he sees Changmin, Yunho, Heechul, GD, Yoona, Leeteuk, Kangin, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Gackt, Kai, even that bastard Siwon is there.
‘This is a beautiful moment’ he thinks as he looks around at everyone who he hasn’t seen in such a long time.
‘Too perfect for me to waste’ with purpose in his steps he excuses himself and goes back outside to his car.
Yesung catches up with his friends. Siwon is pursuing a Bachelors in Education, which is suprising to Yesung because he never suspected the other boy to had a passion for teaching.
Suddenly Gackt holds up his hands, silencing the room.
“You guys my butt is tingling. Some shits about to go down”
Everyone looks at him in horror.
Kai is the first to react, he scoffs, “That’s just your hemorrhoids acting up”
Gackt purses his lips as if to kiss Kai, the other boy moves to the side, avoiding the mouth.
By the time Kyuhyun comes back inside everyone is avoiding Gackt and his tingling backside.
Kyuhyun clears his throat,
“Uh, um, everyone” his voice is loud enough to penetrate their conversations and they all look at him. Kyuhyun swallows heavily, with all of their eyes focused on him; he could feel his nerves tensing.
“Uh, Hi. Erm. Thank you all so much for being here. I’ve…well you’re all close friends who I have grown to love…”
“Even me?” some random voice calls out.
Kyuhyun nods, despite not knowing who had spoken, “And I think it would be best to share this special moment with all of you”
Finding Yesung in the crowd, he strides confidently up to him.
The shorter boy is looking around the room, searching people’s faces for some sort of clue.
Then Kyuhyun kneels on one knee and the entire room gasps while Yesung’s eyes widen to the size of dinner plates.
“Kim Yesung. I have loved you since…well I can’t remember the date” he laughs nervously, Yesung cannot help the surprised giggle that he makes either.
“But the truth is, I loved you in the past and I love you even more now. I know we’re in college, still trying to sew our paths in this world, but, but I would like for us to sew that path together. Entwine our futures with each other…erm, yeah, basically I’m saying I love you and I want to be with you f-forever. Will you marry me?” he flips open the ring box.
DUN DUN DUN
THE END
Yesung’s mind is a bundle of images. He can see himself going old with Kyuhyun. They would adopt two adorable children, they would have the worst nightmares changing diapers together. Kyuhyun would complain about Yesung hogging the bed covers. Yesung will be fussy about having to wake up to the feed the baby at night and Kyuhyun would take pity on him and do the task himself. He would…
“Yes! Oh my God, I can’t believe…you even have a ring? When did you buy that? I’m babbling like an idiot right now but oh my God, yes, I said yes, put it on my finger you-“
Kyuhyun rises so quickly from his kneeling position that he almost falls over. He braces himself against Yesung, kissing the other man with a passion of fierce love and gratitude.
Breaking the kiss, he looks down, grabs Yesung’s hand and slips the ring gently onto it. It’s a perfect fit, just as he had intended it to be.

Luna quickly chirps in “I declare myself maid of Honor”
Gackt just says, “My ass is never wrong”
That sex scene was so rushed I can only bow my head and apologize if it disappointed any of you. The prom, oh my God, the prom … if I had to do this over, I would’ve made this chapter about 98% about that prom. There’s so much I could’ve done. I had an idea for Siwon bringing Gina as his date but the complications and drama that would present just turned me off lol.
They are together. They’re going on the longest engagement ever and one day they’re going to be married. Maybe I would write a one shot on the wedding :D
Oh and here’s a deleted scene from the epilogue:
“It’s my turn to hug my son”
Luna allows the mother and son to have a heartfelt reunion while she goes to hug Kyuhyun. It’s been the year now since the tragic accident that took Yesung’s father from them. Yesung hugs his mother desperately close to him, he knows how lonesome she is feeling and one of the reasons he’s glad to be back home is because he wants to keep an eye on her. After all these months she’s still grieving but like Yesung has finally come to terms with her loss.
She’s just so happy her baby’s home. Kyuhyun encircles is arms around the two of them, adding to warmth and love within in the hug.

Yep yep, I originally killed Yesung’s dad. Aren’t I just the worst? But I didn’t want to make this ending about his death and how sad you are that he’s dead. It’s about the boys having a good time. So I edited it just before I posted, took that part out and made it a short and sweet reunion.
